A rule generator includes specific, pre-defined fraud patterns based on Profitect´s experience of previous project. A holistic processor now compares current data and event information with the rule data. “Sentinel” constantly searches for these rules in the data and alerts when they are found. In addition, “SENTINEL” also detects data by exception, processing operational and administrative data.
Next, it analyzes changes in behavior or exceptional behavior (e.g. stock movements, stock adjustments) over time. The results are flagged, and analysis and reports of past and current data are available.
